It's never too late...

Have you ever thought ..."What if i would have...?" or "I wonder if I could...?"?

Unfortunately, that's as far as some of us get with our dreams that don't directly involve our day to day lives (our kids, husbands, homes, current jobs). But do you know that beyond all of those things its ok to have other goals and dreams?

It's true, for some of us it may be volunteering in a field that we have a unique expertise. For some it may be starting or changing a career. For others, it may be internal changes; kicking a habit or addiction, forgiveness, being a better person, mom, or wife!

Regardless of your circumstances, you can do it! You are worthy of all your hopes and dreams! You are strong enough! You are a woman on a mission and there is nothing that can stop you! Of course there will be obstacles, but press on!

We will encourage each other, love each other, and support each other!

If you have a goal or dream that you're just not quite sure how to execute, send us an email or message. We may not know what to do right off but we will find out as quickly as we can, and you can bet there will be no bigger supporter in your corner than us here at The Classy Sassy Mommy! We really do want to help a momma out y'all!!!

Home Hair Removal That Works

Ever tried home hair removal products only to be disappointed? Yeah, me too! Finally, I can say that THIS product is a winner! Happy dance.

I really don't want to spend extra time at the salon to get waxed, when using this product only takes about ten minutes total, in the comfort of my home.  Only downside is. . . it isn't for eyebrows.

With a pricetag of about $22.47, as well as containing enough product for several uses (depending on 1. how often you use it  AND  2. how much you use), makes this an item a good buy.  It comes in two varieties, depending on the texture of your hair.  Not to mention it was not irritating to my skin.  Of course that doesn't mean it won't be for you, so always test in a small area just to be sure.

Tip: after using hair removal system, apply either Aloe Vera or baby oil to soothe skin.

Around the house:

Bissell 3-in-1 Stick Vac Lightweight Vacuum

Every mommy needs one of these! Let me just tell ya, after we installed hard wood floors throughout our house I purchased sooo many brooms, dust mops, dust pans... basically spent a small fortune on anything to keep the dust and the dreadful dog hair off the floor! I had a janitorial shrine in my laundry room!!
Then one day I saw this little beauty sittin' there on the end cap at our local Wal-Mart store! I was hesitant to buy it at first, but heck on Black Friday special for $8.00, I thought I'd give it a try. To make a long story short... my cute little Bissell made  my "best purchases of all time" list. It works better than a broom and dust pan, and you don't have to worry about cleaning out the dust mop. Just dump the canister out when needed!
It's also the perfect cleaning tool for little hands that want to help around the house! Macie and Addison love to "vacuum" the wood and tile surfaces with "Barbie the Bissell"... tehehe, I like to give all of my best friends nicknames!
You can still buy one at most Wal-Mart stores for around 20.00 bucks! I've had mine about two years and still working perfectly! I did go ahead and buy one more for safe keeping,  just in case! ;)

It's All About Saving Time

Planning ahead.  Oh how great that sounds right?  If we could only plan ahead.

It doesn't have to be painful.  It really can save so much time without having to put forth a whole lot of effort.

For example:

Going to brown some ground beef tonight for tacos?  Why not brown a couple pounds at once and put half in the freezer?  Use a freezer bag, put the desired amount inside, and throw it in there...the freezer that is.  When ready to use for chili, sloppy joes or homemade pizza...just pop the frozen, browned meat into the microwave until desired temp and VIOLA.
Add the meat to whatever you're cooking up, without having to brown and drain the meat.
You just saved some time in your future MOMMY!

Don't be stubborn about saving time.
Make a big ole batch of beef next time you're in the kitchen and freeze it up!

It's A Beautiful World

Sometimes you just have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps ya'll!
Nobody else is gonna do it for you.
Well that's what I have learned anyways.  Ha!

Love LOVE love this song (my favorite song).  I listen to it when the negative seems to be overpowering the positive things in this world.  Guess what?  Jesus made this BEAUTIFUL world.
It isn't all bad ya know?

I hope you enjoy this song, if you've never heard it before.  Momma's you're beautiful and we live in a beautiful world!  There's so much I love about this song and video.

Give yourself a big hug or better yet...help a momma out ya'll and give another momma a hug today.  Maybe she needs one too.

Sending one to you from The Classy Sassy Mommy! Mwah!

Food ya'll have to try!

A sure sign of Fall here in our part of the country is the smell of Chili in the crock pot! We all have our own variations of this Fall and Winter staple, so here's my favorite!

Ingredients

① 1 16 oz. can kidney beans, drained
② 1 16 oz. can ranch style beans, drained
③ 2 garlic cloves, minced
④ 1 medium onion, chopped
⑤ 1 jalapeno pepper, minced (optional)
⑥ 1 green bell pepper, chopped
⑦ 10 oz. package frozen corn kernels
⑧ 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
⑨ 1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
⑩ 1 tbsp. cumin
⑪ 1 tbsp. chili powder
⑫ 1 tsp. dried oregano
⑬ 1 tsp. kosher salt
⑭ 1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, uncooked
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Optional toppings: Additional cilantro, shredded cheese, chopped scallions, red onion, sour cream, etc.

Directions
Combine ingredients 1 through 14 in a slow cooker*. Stir until combined. Place uncooked chicken on top and cover. Cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

Thirty minutes before serving, pull chicken breasts apart with two forks. Stir and continue cooking. Top with fresh cilantro or any other desired toppings.
*You can substitute the ranch style beans for any healthier version and use no or low sodium tomatoes!

I sure hope your familiy enjoys this recipe as much as ours does! Please feel free to comment with your suggestions or any variations that you may have! ~ Jami

In the kitchen:

Use a pizza cutter to cut up pancakes and waffles!
Yep, a pizza Cutter. It saves time and cuts down on the mess!

Put icing in condiment bottle (can be bought at dollar tree stores) to decorate holiday cookies and treats with the kiddos. Way less mess than using bowls of icing and eating utensils!!!
