They call me
Jami; though you should know my real name is Jamilia Dawn Jones. That is
important information because Mrs. Candy always calls me Jamilia Dawn and we wouldn’t
want to confuse you! J
I’m the
mommy of three mini drama queens:
Macie is
seven. She loves to accessorize with anything sparkly, wear high heels and
skirts, and loves pink! Don’t let all that fool you though she loves playing
with boy toys, getting muddy, and playing practical jokes on anyone that’s a
sucker for her hazel eyes and silly grin! Macie has ADHD so we are always busy trying
to find ways to keep her on track! As you may or may not know that it is really
hard for a child with ADHD to learn and sometimes function on a day to day
basis!
Addison, with her
caramel bouncy curls, chubby cheeks, and huge brown eyes will melt your heart!
She has the kindest soul and a true passion for sharing her faith with anyone
that will listen. We call her our little humanitarian! She’s determined to save
the world in that tutu and cowgirl boots (her favorite things to wear)! Addison
also has ADHD, OCD, and an anxiety disorder. There may be challenges along the
way but she never lets these disorders define her!
Tailor is my “Teenager”! I had her when I was nineteen so I guess
you could say we kinda grew up together. In these last fourteen years she has
taught me just as much as I’ve taught her. Maybe not on the same scale but none
the less. For example, she taught me that a toddler can consume more dog food
than the dog and survive. That a five year olds stomach is made of steel, mommy
is the one that gets sick watching a stubborn child eat peanut butter on her
hot dog. And a more recent lesson, that a fourteen year old can adjust to
moving halfway across the state better than a mommy can! Tailor’s humor is one
of my favorite things about her. Not just in her comical way of speaking, but
in the way that she can laugh and smile in any situation.
I’m also a wife to my
best friend David. David and I have been married for seven years and we don’t have
any children of our own. We went through multiple routes and thousands of
dollars in infertility treatments with no luck. But no pity here please! We
know that we are beyond blessed with the three that I brought into our
marriage. Anyone that knows us knows that David is a rare commodity when it comes to
being a step-daddy! As you get to know us through our blog, you’ll see that for
yourself!
Now that you
are acquainted with the basics; here’s a little about me personally…
I’ve been a stay at home mom since Macie was a baby. I have lots
of hobbies; baking, organizing, volunteering, and now…bloggingJ! I love my life as a “Home manager” but I have
recently decided to go to school to get my cosmetology license. I guess you could
say I’ve decided to take stock in the girly business! I’m sure that it will
come in handy as these high maintenance girls become even more so. Between basketball,
dance classes, volleyball, and church activities I’m running around our little
southern town like… well like a busy mommy of three!!!
I like to say… “We may not have it all
together, but together we have it all!” - Jami
